The first verb in the Bible is, no surprise…created. Right from the beginning of the Bible, starting with the very first sentence, God wanted us to know He created everything, especially us. This is the foundational fact upon which all truth is built. We were created by a Creator. We are not the result of a random, purposeless cosmic belch in which Man emerged from chaos out of a primordial soup by the aggressions of mindless molecules, shapeshifting from fish to reptile to monkey to man. No, our origin has an intelligent source. We are the product of intention, created in whole from the beginning by a designer whose authorship can be identified by the unmistakeable fingerprints of logic and premeditation revealed in the building blocks of information and order. Oh, what an incredible God we have and what a firm foundation to stand upon!
